Our Clark 12 Gauge Solid Copper Burial Vault For Cremation Urns will protect your cremation urn from water, collapse and mother nature for generations.
Made using copper weighing 88 ounces per square foot. Copper is the most durable of all metals and has been called "mans eternal metal."
A Clark urn vault has a unique double-welded dome-shaped design that forms a perfect natural seal. Should water enter the grave, the domes accumulated air pressure pushes water away from the urn, as it does in a glass inverted in a water basin. The Urn is secured to an elevated base to provide added moisture protection. Clark vaults are designed with a small gap around the base to allow a tiny bit of water into the vault BUT the water will never rise above the base. For more information, please view the following videos:
Material: 12 Gauge Copper with copper finish and accented by a brushed band
Interior Dimensions: 11.25"W x 11.5"H at center (9"H at low edge) x 13.75"L
Exterior Dimensions: 13.25"W x 13.5"H (center) x 16.5"L
Optional nameplate material: Acrylic that mimics a metallic look - this synthetic non-metallic material has incredibly crisp letter definition and edges (somewhat flexible but not intended for curved surfaces)
You may add a personalized 2" x 4" nameplate. Nameplates mount with 3M peel-n-stick adhesive. Nameplates can have up to 4 lines of text. Each line can have up to 30 characters including spaces. Nameplate ships separately via USPS first class regular mail.

Urn Sizing
Follow These Rules To Better Determine The Size Of The Urn You Need
Please Note: When we refer to "healthy" weight, we mean a weight prior to any illness that may have resulted
in weight loss, if applicable.
In order to hold all of your loved one's ashes you'll need to know the approximate healthy body weight
of the person or pet you are shopping for.
One pound of healthy body weight will yield just less than 1 cubic
inch of ash.
Assume for shopping purposes that: 1 pound of healthy body weight = 1 cubic inch
ash.
Easy example: A cremated 100 pound person (healthy weight) will yield
almost 100 cubic inches of ashes. So, if 1 pound = 1 cubic inch, you will need an urn
that is approximately 90-100 cubic inches or larger.
There are a lot of other factors that play into how much cremains (ashes) you will actually
receive from the crematorium. Cremated remains can vary in amount due to different
cremation processes, temperature variations and the bone structure of the decedent. Because of that we
can't guarantee 100% of the time that an urn will be large enough but if you follow these rules, or call
us to discuss, 99.95% of the time we'll be right on.
Buy an urn at least slightly larger than you need
to avoid having the urn be too small for the ashes. Urn capacity can only
be too small. You can use any size urn that holds more than you need.
Keepsake Cremation Jewelry is designed to hold a trace amount of ashes, similar to the size of a
ball-head sewing pin.
