Description

Our Twelve Months Of Flowers Book Cremation Urn November features a cover image from the work of Robert Furber a British horticulturist who published these beautiful images in a catalog in 1730. The work was done as a collection of twelve detailed engravings of seasonal plants in bloom.

This cremation box urn can be used to discreetly hold ashes, dried ceremonial flowers, burial soil, locks of hair, or other personal mementos of a loved one. Opens with a hinge on one side and has a magnetic closure. Please note that the closure magnet does not secure the urn permanently, putting a drop of Super-glue (not included) on the magnet will seal it tight.
  • Material: Synthetic leather covered wood
  • Dimensions: 8.75"H X 6.25"W X 2.75"D
  • Capacity: 150 Cubic inches
  • Opens on one side and has a magnetic closure
  • Optional Nameplate: ships unattached so you can place on the book where you like
  • Optional nameplate material: Acrylic that mimics a metallic look - this synthetic non-metallic material has incredibly crisp letter definition and edges. The gold and silver colored plates mimic a metallic look but are acrylic
  • Sealing this urn requires Super-glue (not included)

  • Note: Cremains should be sealed in a plastic baggie or small suitable container.

Urn Sizing

Follow These Rules To Better Determine The Size Of The Urn You Need

Please Note: When we refer to "healthy" weight, we mean a weight prior to any illness that may have resulted in weight loss, if applicable.

  1. In order to hold all of your loved one's ashes you'll need to know the approximate healthy body weight of the person or pet you are shopping for.

  2. One pound of healthy body weight will yield just less than 1 cubic inch of ash.
Assume for shopping purposes that: 1 pound of healthy body weight = 1 cubic inch ash
    .
Easy example: A cremated 100 pound person (healthy weight) will yield almost 100 cubic inches of ashes. So, if 1 pound = 1 cubic inch, you will need an urn that is approximately 90-100 cubic inches or larger.

  3. There are a lot of other factors that play into how much cremains (ashes) you will actually receive from the crematorium. Cremated remains can vary in amount due to different cremation processes, temperature variations and the bone structure of the decedent. Because of that we can't guarantee 100% of the time that an urn will be large enough but if you follow these rules, or call us to discuss, 99.95% of the time we'll be right on.

  4. Buy an urn at least slightly larger than you need to avoid having the urn be too small for the ashes. Urn capacity can only be too small. You can use any size urn that holds more than you need.

  5. Keepsake Cremation Jewelry is designed to hold a trace amount of ashes, similar to the size of a ball-head sewing pin.
