Prints sent to vendor We'll send the touched-up prints to our vendor for processing and creation of the piece(s). of the order. Select the area of the print that is the most interesting (for instance, where there may be a swirling in the center). Gently touch the ink pad a couple of times and then tap on the white paper (rolling is not advised). Practice until you have a high-quality ink print (the better the quality of the original, the better the final product will be). Scan the print at 600 ppi and save in .jpg or .bmp file format. Email the jpg along with your order number to service@mainelyurns.com. Remove all the residue from the jewelry with a liquid Tarn-X on a soft tissue. Do not submerge any jewelry with stones (synthetic or genuine) in liquid Tarn-X or leave any jewelry in the liquid for any longer than a few seconds. Use a silver cream polish, such as Flitz, on a paper towel to remove excess black and tarnish from the jewelry. This process may need to be repeated several times. Finally, using a soft cloth towel or jeweler's rouge cloth, polish the jewelry to restore it to its original luster.

Urn Sizing
Follow These Rules To Better Determine The Size Of The Urn You Need
Please Note: When we refer to "healthy" weight, we mean a weight prior to any illness that may have resulted
in weight loss, if applicable.
In order to hold all of your loved one's ashes you'll need to know the approximate healthy body weight
of the person or pet you are shopping for.
One pound of healthy body weight will yield just less than 1 cubic
inch of ash.
Assume for shopping purposes that: 1 pound of healthy body weight = 1 cubic inch
ash.
Easy example: A cremated 100 pound person (healthy weight) will yield
almost 100 cubic inches of ashes. So, if 1 pound = 1 cubic inch, you will need an urn
that is approximately 90-100 cubic inches or larger.
There are a lot of other factors that play into how much cremains (ashes) you will actually
receive from the crematorium. Cremated remains can vary in amount due to different
cremation processes, temperature variations and the bone structure of the decedent. Because of that we
can't guarantee 100% of the time that an urn will be large enough but if you follow these rules, or call
us to discuss, 99.95% of the time we'll be right on.
Buy an urn at least slightly larger than you need
to avoid having the urn be too small for the ashes. Urn capacity can only
be too small. You can use any size urn that holds more than you need.
Keepsake Cremation Jewelry is designed to hold a trace amount of ashes, similar to the size of a
ball-head sewing pin.

Helpful customer service on phone. Urn was rushed and arrived as expected.
Choosing the right size cremation urn ensures a proper resting place for your loved one’s ashes. The general guideline for selecting an urn is 1 cubic inch of urn space per pound of body weight. This ensures the urn can hold all the cremated remains comfortably.
Cremation Urn Size Guide
Small Individuals (Under 100 lbs) Urn Size: 100+ cubic inches Example: A child weighing 60 lbs would require an urn with at least 60 cubic inches of space.
Average-Sized Adults (100-200 lbs) Urn Size: 200+ cubic inches Example: An adult weighing 150 lbs should have an urn with at least 150 cubic inches.
Larger Individuals (200+ lbs) Urn Size: 250+ cubic inches Example: An adult weighing 220 lbs would need an urn with at least 220 cubic inches of space.
Additional Considerations
Keepsake Urns: If you plan to divide the ashes among family members or use them for memorial jewelry, keepsake urns are smaller and hold only a portion of the remains.
Shared Space for Mementos: If you want to include items like letters, jewelry, or photographs in the urn, opt for a slightly larger size.
Companion Urns: For couples or partners, a companion urn offers space for the combined ashes of two people, typically around 400+ cubic inches.
What Happens If I Choose the Wrong Size?
If the urn is too small, you may need to divide the ashes into keepsake urns or additional containers. It’s always better to select an urn slightly larger than required to avoid this issue.
At MainelyUrns.com, you’ll find a wide range of urn sizes and styles to suit your needs, along with expert guidance to help you make the right choice.

Hello, I have contacted the manufacturer to get their specs, but bronze and sheet bronze used in manufacturing typically is an alloy and consists of the following standard composition:
Copper (Cu): 80–95% - The primary component, providing ductility, corrosion resistance, and electrical conductivity.
Tin (Sn): 1–12% - Enhances strength, hardness, and wear resistance.
Zinc (Zn): 0–5% - Improves workability and can increase corrosion resistance.
Lead (Pb): 0–5% - Sometimes added to improve machinability.
Nickel (Ni): 0–5% - Increases toughness and corrosion resistance.
Phosphorus (P): 0–1% - Enhances wear resistance and strength, often found in phosphor bronze alloys.
The exact composition varies depending on the specific type of bronze alloy and its intended use. For example:
Phosphor Bronze (Cu-Sn-P): Used in electrical connectors, bearings, and springs.
Silicon Bronze (Cu-Si-Zn): Used in marine and architectural applications.
Aluminum Bronze (Cu-Al-Fe-Ni): Used for high-strength, corrosion-resistant components.
Bronze Alloy Composition: It's typically and pprimarily copper with around 12% tin, but other elements like aluminum, silicon, or phosphorus can be added depending on desired properties, as outlined above. See full answer »
Thanks for reaching out. That's a great question. Yes, we can personalize both sides of these urns. While we typically engrave or personalize only the front, adding personalization to the back is no problem at all. If this option isn't available on the product page, please call us, and we'll be happy to assist you over the phone. See full answer »
